Slovenia at Olympics

Slovenia sent its athletes for the time as an independent nation at the Summer Olympic Games in 1992. The nation has sent athletes to participate in every Games since then. Slovenian athletes participated at Olympic Games as early as 1912 but they competed as a part of the Austrian team. Thereafter, they participated as a part of Yugoslavia until their independence. The National Olympic Committee for Slovenia was set-up in 1991 and recognized by the IOC in 1993.
