Here's a list of Olympic gold medal winners in Table Tennis. Get complete information on who won gold since the inclusion of the game in Olympics in 1988.

Table Tennis

Ever since its inclusion in the Olympics in 1988 Seoul Games, Table Tennis has been dominated by China, whether it's the single event with which the sport started, or the team event which was introduced in 2008. As of now, China has won 20 gold medals out of the 24 awarded and a total of 41 medals out of the 76 awarded. South Korea are second with 3 gold medals and an overall medals tally of 17. Even the 2008 Beijing Olympics was a complete whitewash for other countries as China claimed all the 4 gold medals available. In the 2012 London Games it will be interesting to see if any country can stand up to and snatch the gold out of China, which are yet again being touted as favourites. 176 competitors, 86 men and 86 women, will compete for the gold in 4 different events. The competition will be held at Excel Arena from 28th July to 8th August.
