India participated at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. India sent its largest delegation to London in Olympic history. A total of 83 athletes, 60 men and 23 women, competed in 13 sports. It was India's most successful Olympics as its athletes won a total of 6 medals (2 silver and 4 bronze). Indian won two medals each in shooting and wrestling. Apart from this, Saina Nehwal won a bronze medal in women's Badminton singles and boxer Mary Kom settled for a bronze.
