Wrestling is a type of combat sport where the competitor grapple, fight and takedown opponent's body to maintain dominance over him. There are variations in style in this body-to-body combat sport. Wrestling is one of the oldest sports in the world. The wrestling as a sport was first introduced in 1896 Athens Olympics Games. There are two wrestling styles, Greco-Roman Wrestling and Freestyle Wrestling that will be played during London Olympics Games. Freestyle Wrestling originated from Catch as Catch Can Wrestling type that was prevalent during the 19th century in exhibitions, fairs, and events across the US and the UK. The Women's Wrestling was introduced in 2004 Athens Olympics Games. In recent years, the wrestling techniques have been integrated into other forms of combat systems such as martial arts and military hand to hand combat. At London 2012 Olympics Games, the Wrestling competition will be held at ExCeL from 5 August-12 August 2012. ExCeL is located close to London City Airport in east London's Royal Victoria Dock. The number of events to be held at ExCel is 18. The number of athletes participating in the Olympics wresting completion is 344. The style that is followed during London Olympics game is Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling.

The game concludes when a wrestler wins the first two periods or pins his opponent down.
